Brandon performed semi-annual service today. He checked the temperature of the air from the vents to verify the systems were operating correctly. A new problem showed up right before he came: a thermostat became unregistered and was not communicating with the mobile app. Without hesitation, Brandon said he would get it working again, which he did. As in the past, Comfort Air always exceeds expectations.

Josh Anesko was thorough and knew what he was doing. He got our Nest control working, which hadn’t worked correctly for months, and installed surge protectors on both heating and cooling units. He then discovered that both filters were filthy and had to be changed! This was in spite of the fact that they were supposed to be changed by the company doing maintenance. We really were lucky to get Mr. Anesko.

Our HVAC Started Making Loud Metal Noises May 20, 2024

OMG. Last Friday morning, our HVAC here in Palm Springs, CA, started making jarringly loud metal-on-metal noises, so we called Comfort Air. They sent one of their "comfort specialists" out that afternoon. He was super! Nice, respectful, and very competent. He correctly diagnosed the issue and soon we had a new condenser, which was under warranty. The cost for everything was $50. Then, as he was leaving, I asked him did he know about our super-complicated thermostat which was often doing its own thing. I asked him if he could he make it simple for us. It now works excellently and even a third grader can run it. Thanks Daniel Fisher for doing such a fabulous job!

After another technician messed up wiring during install of a new smart thermostat on my older unit in a condo (leaving me without AC for half a day), Comfort rep asked good diagnostic questions over the phone, was reassuring in his demonstrated competence, and promptly dispatched Colten, who resolved the problem with the improper install and had everything working again with the new smart thermostat in less than 20 min. Total price for this weekend urgent call and the annual service plan they offer was less than what the other contractor was charging for the job he botched. Comfort will be my 1st call for future HVAC concerns.
